Delhi isn’t just a city — it’s a story that has been unfolding for over a thousand years. On this full-day guided tour, we’ll take you through the buzzing streets of Old Delhi and the broad, tree-lined avenues of New Delhi. From grand colonial buildings to ancient mosques, bustling bazaars to serene temples — this tour is designed to show you the true essence of India’s vibrant capital.
About Old & New Delhi
Delhi is where India’s past and present come together. Here’s why this city is unmissable:
Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel or the airport with a warm welcome. Your driver for the tour and professional local guide will ensure you’re comfortable before we begin your journey through the capital city.
We’ll begin with the majestic lanes of Lutyens' Delhi, designed by British architects in the early 1900s.
Next, we’ll take you into the heart of Old Delhi to visit Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque. Built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century, this architectural marvel is made of red sandstone and white marble. You’ll climb its steps to get panoramic views of Old Delhi's chaos and charm.
Right from the mosque, we’ll walk or ride a cycle rickshaw into Chandni Chowk, one of India’s oldest and busiest markets. Established in the 1600s by Shah Jahan’s daughter, Jahanara, this market still thrives with old shops selling spices, sweets, silver, fabrics, and street food. It’s noisy, colorful, crowded — and absolutely unforgettable.
We’ll stop for a lunch break before covering the other parts of the city. You can choose restaurant of your choice for the lunch break. Delhi is dotted with numerous multi-cuisine restaurants. Proceed post lunch break.
After lunch, we’ll visit the Lotus Temple, a symbol of unity and peace. Shaped like a blooming lotus flower, this Bahá'í House of Worship welcomes people of all faiths. Its modern architecture and tranquil ambiance make it one of Delhi’s most serene spots.
Our final major stop will be the Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in India, standing 72.5 meters high. Started by Qutb-ud-din Aibak and completed by his successors, the tower is a blend of Indo-Islamic architecture — adorned with intricate carvings and Quranic inscriptions.
With your day filled with memories, we’ll drive you back to your hotel or the airport. We hope this tour gives you a deeper connection to India’s heart — Delhi.
